The Aegean Tragedy (1961)

Spanning three decades of Greek history, 'The Aegean Tragedy' sheds light on the first half of the 20th century, from the Balkan wars until the December events. Greek director Basil Maros gives respectful emphasis on the Asia Minor catastrophe and its aftermath, through newsreels and filmed documents by Joseph Hepp, Georgios Prokopiou, Ahilleas Madras, Filopoimin Finos, Gavriil Longos, and Kyriakos Kourbetis.
