White Oleander (2002)

Fifteen-year-old Astrid Magnussen lives in Los Angeles with her free-spirited artist mother, Ingrid. Their lives change drastically when Ingrid's affair with a writer named Barry ends in murder, as Ingrid poisons him with white oleander.
