Irreversible (2002)

In the scene at the party where Monica Bellucci's character goes into a room to retrieve her purse before leaving, a woman is seen clearly giving a blowjob to the man on the bed (penis shown) while about six or seven people are lying about, watching. When she leaves, a man says "Close the door".

Gay porn is seen throughout the Rectum scene in the background. Explicit but easy to miss.

The extended Rectum Club sequence shows explicit sexual acts including a man sticking his fingers into his anus (shown graphically), visuals of erect penises, men having anal sex, images of oral sex amount countless other things although this sequence is incredibly fast paced and details are easy to miss.

A couple is seen naked together in an extended sequence. The man's flaccid penis is seen throughout along with the woman's bare breasts and pubic region.

There are several unsimulated sexual acts shown throughout the film, some of them being fully perverted and disturbing. We see sex acts with exposed erect penises being sucked and put into people, anuses (including a man fingering his own anus), bare breasts and pubic regions amongst many other things including an extended sadistic rape that is unbelievably brutal.

While a man's skull is caved in, a man can be seen rapidly masturbating to the act in the background for a few seconds.

A violent rape that clocks in at about 9 minutes. No actual penetration is visible, but thrusting from the man is shown at all times. Both are clothed however the woman is wearing a dress with no bra, and her nipples can be seen poking out. Later, she is brought out of her dress and the man squeezes it several times. The woman tries to escape and her bare buttocks are briefly seen in the process. We see the man's erect penis for a split-second after he finishes the rape. EXTREMELY GRAPHIC.

Three people discuss sex and orgasms for a few minutes. Lengthy, but nothing extremely crude.

A scene of a naked couple after sex which lasts 14 minutes, female breasts, pubic hair (briefly) and buttocks and male buttocks and genitals are shown, the man is shown kissing the woman's breasts. However, no actual sex is shown in this scene. The man's genitalia is visible for a second or two.

There is an extremely long scene where a woman is graphically, explicitly and sadistically raped before being savagely beaten. EXTREMELY DISTURBING.

A man's head is bashed repeatedly with a fire extinguisher while a crowd tells the killer to keep going. His head is slowly caved in and smashed into pieces and his teeth and face break apart with each hit. The camera lingers on him as he is further brutalized until his head is squashed completely. Extremely brutal, graphic and unflinching as the camera does not move during this extended scene.

A prostitute is threatened with a knife and hit a few times by a man in a group, a bunch of other prostitutes chase after the men yelling and they run away

After the woman is raped, her assailant begins kicking her face repeatedly causing blood to splatter all over the floor and come out of her face. She is then grabbed and repeatedly punched in her face then left on the ground to bleed, but then the man comes back and smashes her face into the floor several times causing her face to become a destroyed bloody pulp.

The violence described is far more extreme and depraved than it sounds.

The fire extinguisher scene is one of the most brutal and viscous murders shown onscreen in any film.

Extreme graphic violence including sadistic rape, brutal murder and horrifically savage behavior.

The rape scene is incredibly sadistic and brutal. While the woman is forcefully entered anally, she screams and cries out in agony while the rapist takes pleasure in it. He describes her bloodletting and says many disturbing things before eventually beating her to a pulp.

A man breaks a bottle on another man's head. The two then engage in a brief scuffle.

A man pushes and roughs up another man to make him give out the location of someone else. Some grunts are heard, no details are visible.

A man is shoved face-first to the ground, then sat on by his assailant. The man then puts his knee on his victim's right elbow and bends it slightly backwards, snapping it. The victim briefly yells in pain. The assailant then attempts to rape the other man, but is stopped immediately by having his face bashed with a fire extinguisher.

A taxi driver is pepper-sprayed, he yells in pain briefly.

Fuck, bitch, ass, pussy, and cum are used alongside lesser profanity and many homophobic slurs.

A man sniffs poppers and offers it to his friend, who obliges, he sniffs again and offers it to another person, who knocks it out of his hand.

The rapist uses poppers to enhance his pleasure in the rape scene.

A man snorts cocaine in a party.

The 10-minute rape sequence this film is infamous for is extremely disturbing and can cause immense distress and fear on the viewer.

The entire film is relentlessly bleak, tragic, depressing and disturbing. DEFINITELY not for the easily disturbed of the faint of heart.

All of the frightening scenes said in here and in 'Violence And Gore' is the reason why this movie is one of the most brutal movies ever made.

Note that Though it was made in 2002, the violence isn't dated at all , its infact more brutal and realistic than the modern day film violence , yes I'm not overreacting it is this brutal.

Suggested MPAA rating: NC-17 for extreme graphic violence including a prolonged scene of sadistic rape, explicit sexual content and language.

Some scenes in the "Violence" section might be hard to watch for many viewers. The film has an intense atmosphere, lots of angry/aggressive yelling and threats.

The 10-minute sequence in the "Rectum" at the beginning is very fast paced, the camera moves around in unnatural positions and is very shaky, the song that is playing was intentionally added to cause potential vertigo.
