It is a period movie about the recent history of Turkey. In 1926, the ferry Gülcemal is about to depart for Izmir at the Galata docks. On board, Laz Ismail and Ziya Hursit, former Unionists and opposition MPs, are on their way to Izmir to assassinate Mustafa Kemal. Meanwhile, a woman gets off the ship and sails away. Kerim, who has been watching the ship for a while, chases after the woman. The woman is Laz Ismail's confidante, Balli Naciye. He finds Naciye's house and accuses her of carrying the bombs to the ship. Gradually events develop.
