Constantly depressed, the young and beautiful, Elena Andreou, senses that something terrible is going to happen. Unable to explain the source of her endless sadness, her supportive fiancé and successful architect, Alexis, is at a loss--only Elena's mother, Christina, and the family's doctor seem to know more than they let on. To further complicate matters, Alexis employee, too--the esteemed surgeon, Dr Nikos Validis--appears to have a disturbing secret stemming from the dark years of the German Occupation in Greece, which, pretty soon, will inextricably intertwine everyone's fates.
