Yorgos, a proud, honest but jobless third lieutenant, is forced to put on hold his plans to get married to his long-term sweetheart, Katerina. Now, to make ends meet, the hard-working man has to work as a deckhand for the wealthy shipowner, Maris. Before long, Yorgos crosses paths with the shipping magnate's spoiled daughter, Marina, who, right from the start, is interested in flirting with him. Now, Yorgos is between a rock and a hard place.
