Punishment (1965)

Marina, a struggling elementary school teacher juggling demands at work and home, crosses paths with Yorgos, a promising young physician. And almost instantly, sparks fly. However, Yorgos' is unaware that his haughty mother is determined to stifle the budding romance. As challenges mount and dreams burn down, Marina discovers her calling in music--a path that pulls her away from Yorgos and everything she holds dear.
