The life of John Diamond - author, journalist and husband of food writer Nigella Lawson - who wrote about the 'Stuff of Life' in his weekly column in the Times. Diagnosed as having cancer of the throat and tongue, he lost his ability to speak after surgery on his tongue. But he continued to communicate through his writing - particularly in his Times column - until shortly before his death in March 2001.
