From riches to rags, Marina Manda, the orphaned daughter of a well-off family in the province, decides to move in Athens to work as a housekeeper for the wealthy factory owner, Miltos Kandris. After losing it all, Marina will finally find peace--and maybe--a new hope and the right to have dreams of a better future; however, a shameless theft and a hideous murder will abruptly rob her of her share in happiness.
