The Bridge of Happiness (1964)

Misty-eyed Lela bids farewell to the love of her life, Alkis, who has to catch a ship to the United States to seek a job and create a better future for himself and his family. Lela knows that the following two years are going to be challenging, especially when her cruel stepmother, Flora, and her alcohol-dependent father have already decided to marry her off to a wealthy suitor.
