Storyline:  Disgraced ex-England captain Danny "Mean Machine" Meehan lands in jail for assaulting police officers. Stripped of his status and taunted by inmates for his World Cup blunder, Danny finds a chance for redemption by leading the prisoners in a soccer match against the oppressive guards. With the entire inmate population supporting him, the game becomes a battle for respect and change.
