The Lady of the House (1949)

Ilham marries Nabil and moves to live with him in his mother's house. Trouble begins between the mother-in-law and Ilham. The mother-in-law sees Ilham as an outsider and herself as lady of the house. The situation gets worse for Nabil. His mother insists that he marries another woman because Ilham did not give birth. She seeks to marry him from Madihah, Ilham's friend.
