A documentary on Robert Wyatt - singer, drummer and founding member of The Soft Machine, the legendary band in the international musical arena between the late Sixties and early Seventies who inspired the development of the made-in-Canterbury jazzy rock. Now Wyatt lives a quiet life in Louth in northern England with his wife Alfie Benge, who now also works on his records. From being a drummer in Soft Machine, playing with Pink Floyd at the UFO club, been on two world tours that connected to Jimi Hendrix and played with Syd Barret, Wyatt fell through a window at a very wet party in 1974. He then became bound to his wheelchair. "The best thing that has happened to me," Robert Wyatt says.
