The Singing Detective (2003)

No nudity to speak of. Several semi-graphic scenes of people having sex. You see their entire bodies w/ thrusting as well as very sexual hand movements (though you don't see where the hands end up). These are shot from fairly "explicit" angles, even though you don't see any nudity, they're pretty intense. A character cheats on her husband while her kid (hiding & unbeknownst to parent) watches. A character unsuccessfully tries to talk himself out of an erection while a nurse "lotions" him down. Several instances of calling characters "whores".

A female character is drowned in a bathtub, another is pulled, dead, from a river, another is shot (a trickle of blood comes out of her mouth). Several characters are shot and killed (not graphically) though you do see blood trickle down. Character references being beaten as a child. Female character is beaten by boyfriends.

Plenty of profanity from the main character, as he deals with his pain. All the big ones are here numerous times.

several characters smoke. 1 reference to an alcoholic drink.

Sex scenes are pretty vivid. Main character is covered in painful lesions for most of the movie. Main character is prone to angry fits complete with screaming.
