The iconic yellow family hits the movies and this time they face their biggest challenge yet when Springfield becomes an environmental disaster zone due to Homer's negligence when he pollutes a lake with pig excrement. With the town totally isolated by a dome, the Simpson family becomes undesirable in the eyes of their neighbors and must escape. The film, like the series, is a social satire with many cultural phenomenons taken to the extreme, with frequent film references that will be a delight for its fans. The film was a box office success, managing to work on its own and with more emotional development of its characters.
