Sister's Keeper (2007)

Richard Stander's lonely life as a mid-level civil servant takes an unexpected turn when he meets a sweet illegal immigrant at his laundromat. While trying to help her and her children escape an abusive home and navigate the system, he steadily becomes entangled in their lives and frustrated by a broken bureaucracy.
