In this portrait, Jacqueline Veuve pays tribute to Delphine Seyrig, evoking not only the legendary actress, but also the staunch feminist and, ultimately, the friend. From Alain Resnais's Marienbad (1961) to Marguerite Duras's India Song (1975), Delphine Seyrig was an authentic embodiment of beauty with a bewitching voice. But since her death ten years ago, despite having appeared in some thirty plays and fifty films, no book has been dedicated to her. Is she paying today - as she did during her lifetime - the price for her virulent feminist stance? As one of her friends interviewed in the film puts it: "From Marienbad to the barricades, she's not the same woman. And when you break your image, it's very difficult to pick up the pieces". With sensitivity, Jacqueline Veuve reveals the hidden facets of this "comet" who said: "Whatever anyone wants from me, I can become".
