The Nanny Diaries (2007)

In this comedy-drama based on the novel by Emma McLauhlin and Nicola Kraus, a recent college graduate, Annie Braddock, takes a job as a nanny for Grayer, a boy from a wealthy Manhattan family. As she becomes involved with family life, Annie realizes that the parents neglect their son and she strikes up a loving bond with Grayer. The film features excellent performances by Scarlett Johansson and Laura Linney, and ironically digs into the upper class and the challenges of parenthood.
