Mokdong and the Gold Watch (1949)

One young boy wants nothing more than to study at school, but he is forced to provide for his sick mother. He contents himself with listening to classes outside the school's window. However, when his poor mother's condition worsens, he steals a watch to buy her medicine and sets the stage for the end of his happy times.
