The Fountain (2006)

Tom Creo, driven by a relentless desire to save his beloved wife Izzi from cancer, finds himself on a transcendent journey through time. As a present-day scientist, Tom searches for a cure in a rare Guatemalan tree; in the past, he appears as a Spanish conquistador questing for the mythical Tree of Life; and in the distant future, he is a space traveler nurturing an aged tree. Each version of Tom is connected by the eternal love he shares with Izzi.
