The Valiants of Samothrace (2003)

During the blood-soaked Turkish invasion in Cyprus in 1974, a small company of soldiers who serve their compulsory military service at an infantry battalion near the Greek-Bulgarian border, find themselves unexpectedly transferred. However, as the troops end up in the sun-kissed island of Samothrace in the northern Aegean Sea, an unusual coexistence with the peaceful islanders will mark the beginning of a prolonged stay, against the backdrop of the violent and terrible events that shatter the country.
