There are references that Louie XVI does not wish to have sex with Marie Antoinette, and it turns out, he needed a surgery in order to have a child. Marie Antoinette is accused of incest against her son. There are references that women prisoners were raped and brutalitized. Paintings show women with bare breasts.

Blood is quite common. Several people are beheaded by means of a guillotine, however the actual impact of the severing is off screen. The guillotine blade is completely covered in blood, and blood spirts and falls to the ground. A man hacks a prisoner to pieces with an axe and blood is thrown onto the prison walls, but it is offscreen. Graphic paintings show people being exectued by burning to death, chopped, among others. A painting shows people eating other people. Corday murders Marat with a knife (offscreen) and blood is all over his body and in his bathtub. A painting depicts Marat's murder. Robespierre tries to commit suicide by shooting himself, and guards find his head in a pool of blood. He is later guillotined. Several people are beheaded and are placed on pikes in paintings. A priest is seen completely covered in blood after a disembowelment.
