Dreamgirls (2006)

This electrifying musical revolves around the rise, fall and triumph of a talented group of soul singers during the '60s and '70s. Set in the world of the music industry, it is the story of a trio of young African-American girls: Effie, Deena and Lorrell, played with a great deal of personality by Jennifer Hudson, Beyoncé and Anika Noni Rose.
