A lonely man is trapped within himself and his frustration. His life is routine and he performs a monotonous job he doesn't enjoy. As a second job, he writes the love and friendship messages that appear in fortune cookies, but is painfully aware that they are not meaningful to most people, and so isolates himself more and more.
