The "Monsters" use weapons similar to that of piano wire to dismember their victims; we see a young woman after her legs have been severed at the waist. A man's hand is seen after it is cut off.

A boy and man fall from a roof; we do not see them land, but we see their bodies on the ground afterwards.

A man is thrown backwards and impaled on a stray object; we see the object protrude from his chest.

A boy stabs his gangster boss in the stomach; the boss then pulls it from his own stomach and stabs the boy in return, killing him.

The protagonist's dad is an alcoholic and a smoker.

Many people die in this film in grotesque ways.
