At a party crammed with all kinds of eccentrics, two young women are having a conversation about an author. Her name is Midori Osaki and she had already written a number of classics before suddenly vanishing from the literary world at the age of 35. Who was Midori Osaki? The film consists of three parts and an epilogue all interconnected by means of a kind of TV set or monitor: there is the party scene in the present; there are scenes from Osaki's life in the past; and the third part is given over to the world of literature in which her novella "Wandering in the Seventh World" is being filmed. But that's not all: two women poets pass comment on the person and work of the legendary author who, over the years, has impressed so many people.
