Persuasion (2007)

Based on the novel by Jane Austen, it is the story of Anne Elliot, a young woman who regrets a love decision she made years before, when she followed her family's advice and broke off her engagement to Captain Frederick Wentworth. However, when he becomes a wealthy and successful naval officer, Anne reconsiders the past and deals with a present that is different. Featuring a great Sally Hawkins, this TV movie was very well received as a cinematic transposition of a literary classic.
