Mother of an Attitude (2002)

Fourteen-year-old Steven has the build of a man, the heart of a child and a mother of an attitude. Rejected by his father he finds himself in constant conflict with the local small town bullies and his pint sized warrior mother over a pair of coveted running shoes.
