The International (2009)

Interpol agent Louis Salinger and New York District Attorney Eleanor Whitman conduct an investigation to bring to justice a bank apparently involved in financing terrorist attacks. Following the flow of money, they travel through cities like Milan and Istanbul; persistent but impressed by the scope of what they find out, they put their own lives in danger. From director Tom Tykwer, the film is gripping in its cynicism and conspiratorial feel, with a solid performance by Clive Owen.
