Storyline:  Decades after aliens arrived over Johannesburg, their population is confined to a militarized zone known as District 9. During a mass eviction, field agent Wikus van der Merwe is exposed to a mysterious substance and forced to seek help from two alien residents as both his body and his loyalties begin to change.
