Otets (2007)

The war is over, but instead of happiness and joy, Alexey Ivanov experiences bitterness and fear. It is necessary to return home, but do his children remember whom he left as toddlers? Does Lyuba's wife remember? The girl Masha, who is returning to her hometown, where she has no one left except distant relatives, is equally anxious at heart. Fate brings Masha and Alexey together on a train that takes them to their native lands. When he stops at the train station, Alexey goes out with the girl and stays with her for a couple of days... And then, promising Masha to "remember her bright image," he goes to his own. At home, everything seems to be in order: the wife and children are alive and well... Alexey can't get used to peaceful life again. In the war, where every day could be the last, everything was clear, but here... It is necessary to try to understand the wife and children with their past and new concerns. And Alexey learns to live anew - to forgive and love.
