Little League (2008)

Little League baseball and the 1980's are the backdrop for this coming of age story of five friends placed on a baseball team for the summer. They'll discover who they are, who they'll be, and why baseball is America's game. Danny will do anything for a dollar, Greg knows the game six ways till Tuesday, Teddy is faster than lightning, Pauly is built like a box, and Sean is the cool kid who chooses friendship over popularity. Growing up in the Santa Clarita Valley, these kids will juggle piano lessons, first loves, and broken homes with the smell of grass and the taste of dirt. Deeply ingrained in all of us is a need to play. There is a love for the game, and a purity of competition that will slowly fade away if we don't grab on with both hands.
