Storyline:  This transposition of Charlotte Brontë's classic tells the story of Jane Eyre, an independent and strong-willed young woman who becomes a governess. When Jane arrives at Thornfield Hall, she meets the enigmatic Mr Rochester and despite their differences in social status and temperament, an implicit love is born between them. Yet a secret of Mr Rochester's creates a major conflict and strains their relationship to the limit. Mia Wasikowska provides all the vulnerability her indomitable character requires, blending perfectly with a cold Victorian atmosphere.
