Silicon Shield (2009)

The comeback story of Taiwan, which took an enormous risk by basing national survival on electronics after being abandoned by the world at China's behest. This documentary illustrates how semiconductor technology was used as a national defense strategy by Taiwan, and later how the development of the high tech industries in China and Taiwan reduced the threat of military conflict in the volatile Taiwan Straits.
