Om natten (2009)

During the night is a still reflection of the night as a relevant part of life. Through forgiving shimmer of night the film portrays people that choose, or have to live large parts of their lives while most are deep asleep. Shot during summer nights in Stockholm, the film is gifted with the dreamlike state that people of the north enter when winds are warm and nights are short. It is a nostalgic document on the brief but intense Swedish summer, and an insight in the desperate attempt to pretend it will last for ever.
