In realizing how safe, comfortable and ultimately unextraordinary her life has become, Rosie begins to wonder when she allowed herself to surrender her dreams and independence. Though she realizes her dreams of being a superhero as a child were naive and irrational, she begins to yearn for that euphoric sense of strength and control. Rosie decides that it'd be better to misbehave and baffle everyone around her than to continue living complacently as one who can't help her own situation. In a quick sequence of events, she leaves her lover, quits her tutoring job, cuts off communication with her friends and decides to stay in her car. It's in doing this that Rosie starts to see why superheros
