The Returning (2007)

The Returning is a supernatural thriller full of twists and turns that keep you guessing and a shocking ending that will have you questioning your own moral and ethical beliefs. FBI Agent John Barrett, is in charge of the bureau's elite Terrorist Apprehension Team. After 8 months of assignments encompassing the world, he finally gets 90 days off to return home. He returns, having to cope with a terrorist threat to kill his family, a wife who has grown distant, and a child with particular behavioral problems. In the middle of all of this, John is suddenly confronted by a series of incidents, haunting events and impossible coincidences, leaving him to think he is losing his mind. With each event, John is pulled back into time having to confront people he does not know and ultimately an event of horrific proportions. As he begins to suspect the shocking truth of what is happening, in a final shattering revelation, he will make the most profound and intimate decision he has ever made in his life.
