Thousands and thousands of m² of once fertile ranches and mining fields are slowly turning into desert as a result of the effects of global warming. Our planet's grasslands, on which ecosystems depend for survival, can no longer supply our dietary requirements, replenish water supplies and support wildlife. In an effort to highlight effective solutions to at least some aspect of global warming, the documentary shows places around the Earth where the use of integrated holistic approaches to land management results in the successful revitalization of a previously dying landscape. It brings together images of extensive areas of desert pastures, ranches and valleys, but also inspiring interviews with leading scientists and experts and successful efforts of farmers and ranchers in Zimbabwe, Australia, Mexico and the USA, who tell how to reduce carbon in arable land and approach other practices. These, if implemented, will not only reduce the gases that cause global warming, but will increase biodiversity, reduce the need for artificial fertilizers and pesticides, and create the desired precipitation in a few years.
