Lembing awang pulang ke dayang (2009)

This film is inspired by the story of 'Lembing Awang Pulang Ke Dayang' which is a story at the end of the 18th century that happened in Johor. It tells the story of Awang's three-year journey to complete the custom of marrying the love of his heart. In Awang's adventure, he begins to understand the meaning of life and learns the great history of his family. He also meets several characters where he is able to gain knowledge, form friendships and receive respect. After Awang left, his fiancee Dayang's heart was tried to be stolen by Bachok with the help of his martial arts teacher, Panglima Merah, a former pirate leader who was feared in the sea waters of Malacca. After going through various trials and challenges, Awang was awarded with two heirloom spear blades named Lembing Laki and Lembing Bini. Awang's voyage took him to the port of Makassar where the opportunity to fulfill his ambitions was available. Is his love still loyal when seduced by a Dutch woman? In the city of Goa, can he find the image of his lineage? This story is famous for the bloody event that claimed 99 lives.
