40 year old Rita Welinkar is recapturing in a sanitarium an the only visitor she has is younger sister Sangeeta.She aspires to recover an meet her old friend Saraswati.At 17 Rita started working after father lost his job.Her father Shanks and her mother Nelly enjoys social status at parties leaving Rita to look after her younger sisters at home.Rita's boss Vitthal Salvi married with elder kids supports her by helping complete he education and arrange marriages of her sisters.But things don't go well when Rita and Vitthal's relationship is opened up.Vitthal to deserts her when she asks him to accept her leaving her in sanity.
