Different stories about the life and tragic fate of one of the most beautiful hotels on Slovenian coast have been spreading for a long time. Palace Hotel had long stagnated in tormenting silence and had spawned controversial debates in the media and in the thoughts of the tourists, who could observe the sad front of the closed hotel each year. It was the mystique hidden behind the walls of this hotel that encouraged us to participate on the project of such magnitude and through a documentary show the story of life and glamour, decline and rebirth. We see the film "Mystique of Palace hotel" as a documentary, which demolishes frontiers between a documentary and motion picture, between reality and illusion. Stories of a certain town - Hotel, living timelessly. We wish to expose the documentary through ever-changing time and space, which changes as our lives do as well. In the film there will be statements and stories of the people, who worked there, while the hotel was active. There will be interviews with the architect, owners, city councilmen the people, who were directly involved in the renovation, and comments of passers-by... The visual aspect of the film is of utmost importance, and that's why the camera is one of the most important factors in the making of the documentary. We have invited one of the best European cameramen, whom we had worked with in the past, and have very good experiences with. The aforementioned cameraman is IGOR LUTHER. IGOR LUTHER received an OSCAR and the GOLDEN PALM in 1979 for the movie THE TIN DRUM, directed by Völker Schlöndorff.
