The film is an investigation of style (and historiographical) About the relation to its time and environment that surrounds it, including the world of his contemporaries or with whom over the years has developed a personal relationship, intellectual or affinity work. Through a series of interviews with them, supplemented by personal comments of critics, academics and collectors, the intention is to create a heterogeneous landscape, fragmented and unique at the same time, as the style of that Nespolo. Alongside the interviews are interspersed, shooting reportage of events unfolding during processing (openings, conferences, award ceremonies), and included the artist dedicated to individual work, moments of personal work, passages of work with l ' team, and of course a selection of works exhibited in museums or public occasions in some cases the presence of the same Nespolo. Complete the specific segments of his film production, which not only look like another piece of the artistic career of Nespolo, while working as a document of the cultural climate of Turin from the sixties to today. The first major set of the film is the study of the same Nespolo and the Mole Antonelliana in the period when the Museum of Cinema has hosted the staff dedicated to the artist. The interviews and filming of the operations are accompanied and interspersed with footage of backstage made six months of close acquaintance of the artist. Contamination between the figure of the documentary film and the more immediate reporting is made mainly through the contrast between shooting on mini-DV (backstage and reportage) and those in HD (at the most structured interviews, film footage of the works). Rejecting the voice over, the documentary shows compound not unlike the paintings of the same puzzle Nespolo. Juxtaposing different types of approaches, the film gets un'unitarietà going through fragmentation and discontinuity. Each piece is independent, but pulled to the other creates more meaning. Without limitation (the production of Medlar is huge) do you try to offer the keys to understanding one of the most popular Italian artists and criticized at the same time. The work addresses the widest possible distribution, both for the public to want to configure as simple fans of artistic interest to industry experts, not just out of curiosity or original. It is assumed to give an analysis and discovery which in turn generates questions and dialogue, reflection on, man, the relationship that still it may have against the contemporary.
