Marchland is a road-trip action-comedy, where two families collide on the Canadian-American border. The Van Jurgens, three brothers burdened with caring for their catatonic father after the recent death of their mother, and facing foreclosure on the family home, embark on a journey to find a fortune. The situation goes from bad to worse, when they end up forced to smuggle narcotics across the American border. Meanwhile, Dale and Charlene are a brother and sister team working for the Canadian Border Patrol. Dale's fragile mental state begins to crack after an accident on patrol, and Charlene struggles to keep his condition a secret from their suspicious father, who happens to be their Chief Officer. These two groups of sibling face their fears, their regrets, their futures and each other in this frantic, desperate and unusual adventure.
