The Warm-Up Guy (2010)

Cormac Little, an aging stand-up comedian, finds out his parents have just named a rigatoni dish after his younger brother at their Italian restaurant. This drives the passive-depressive to finally take initiative, recruiting his drug dealer therapist to stage a fake robbery at the restaurant so Cormac can for once be the non-screw-up hero and get a dish named after him. As the plan stutters and reality quickly takes the place of Cormac's dreamland, he may find that the spotlight he's been craving for so long burns hotter than he had hoped.
