The Volunteers (2007)

Xiao Ran, a talented musician, is inspired by a news report on volunteering to visit a humble school in the countryside. Initially he found it hard to cope with the tough living and teaching conditions, but was deeply moved by the sincerity of the headmaster, the innocence of the young children and the dedication of the two real volunteer teachers. Eventually he forgoes the money-making plans of his boss, gains a peaceful heart and discovers the true meaning of life.
