Whale Like Me

Malcolm Wright, grandson of activist and author Richard Wright (Native Son, Black Boy, The Man Who Lived Underground), has a dream about whales that transfixes him, upending his career-oriented life as a visual effects artist. Whale Like Me is a feature documentary following Malcolm's improbable 10-year adventure, across cultures and continents, searching for answers about whales that lead him back to the slave plantation where his grandfather was born.
