On a bright summer morning, three World War I vintage German aircraft lifted off into the blue sky of Colorado -- headed east. Almost a century after they first took to the air, their challenge was to once again occupy the airspace of their enemies. But this mission would be different, though equally dangerous. Along their route we meet three contemporary pilots, learn about the mechanical systems of their fragile aircraft and the back-stories of their WWI German Ace counterparts, including the fabled Red Baron. And like the pilots of WWI, not all of them would fly home in triumph. Feel the exhilaration of open cockpit flight through high definition real time footage. It's a rare opportunity and a great ride. Come along !
