Storyline:  Ismael Tchou, an 8-year-old boy, runs away from home and takes a train to Barcelona in search of his father, Felix, whom he has never met. His only clue is the return address from a letter sent to his mother. Instead of finding Felix, he meets Nora, an elegant woman in her fifties—Felix’s mother—who is shocked to discover her unknown grandson. Once Felix is located, he does not deny his paternity, and Nora contacts the boy’s mother, Alika. Together, they set off for La Costa Brava, where Felix lives, while Alika and her husband Luis also head to the coast in search of the child. Along the way, past wounds resurface, forcing everyone to confront their unfinished business.
