A Weaverly Path (2011)

Told by the artist herself, A Weaverly Path follows Swiss born tapestry weaver Silvia Heyden during a year of creation and reflection. The film captures Heyden creating works inspired by the Eno River and sharing how the natural world, her Bauhaus education and life experiences influence her weaving. A visually stunning world emerges filled with the multi-colored threads woven into the warp of the loom and scenes of the Eno River and her home studio. A Weaverly Path offers an intimate portrait of Heyden and her loom and the inner dialogue and meditations of an extraordinary artist in the moments of creation.
