Little Rasmus, nicknamed "The King of Warriors", escaped from the orphanage because he could no longer endure the stuffy atmosphere of an institution where everything is done on the whistle. On the very first day of his vagabond life, he met the wandering poet Oscar. Oscar earned his nickname "Tumbleweed" because he did not stay anywhere more than one day. He never lost heart, always enjoyed life, got along well with people, sang his songs and honestly earned his bread. But two crooks, having robbed a rich house, set up Oscar, at the same time scaring Rasmus to keep silent. Now Rasmus himself has to take care of his friend, to whom he managed to become attached, and learn from him honesty and responsiveness.
